She heard the melody and knew instantly what it was she needed to write. What needed to be heard and be reminded to the people who stumbled across this. For what she wrote should be remembered. That it takes one person to discover something that would affect the near future.

(Song Inspiration: Moon by Sleeping at Last.
Play it as you read along. It adds a nice touch to the mood)

I could feel it all around me. Moving with the light of the moon. Moving with the life underneath its cover. A thick casing pressing against me yet instead of feeling suffocated, I feel more alive and free than I’ve ever felt before.
The invisible ribbons that twist between my fingers as I wave them in front of me. The full yet eluded presence than can both nourish and destroy living things. The stillness of it all yet it screams into the void.
I smile as I continue to feel and bask in the dark water, admiring the place where so much life resides.
They say the ocean is full of mystery and danger. Cause of death and destruction. And while that may be true, there is a beauty ready to be found. A whole new world ready to be explored.
Yet so many fear the unknown and because of that, we are only left to know the surface of the bigger picture. We are left with a small amount of imagination, not quite aware that there is more than what meets the eye.
Oh if only we could have more courage to jump into the depths and see more of what was given to us freely. If only we were strong enough to stomach and face the unknown no matter what it may throw at us. For if we did that, life would be much more colorful and radiant. We’d have a deeper and wider understanding of the universe.
But if no one plans to take the step forward, then it is up to me to do so. For every brilliant and successful invention and discovery was made due to a courageous and curious being.
I wanted to know more and to know I shall discover. For if you really want to know something, no matter what life throws at you, no matter what dangers or stumbling blocks stand in your way, nothing will be able to stop you from moving forward. Only you have the power to do so.
So I slowly release my breath as I continue to sink further into the darkness, never taking my eyes off the beauty around me. The life that lives under the sea and under us. The life and world waiting to be discovered. To be discovered by me.

She wasn't quite sure how it came to be. Maybe it was thanks to the music that played along in the background. Maybe it was the soft melody that inspired it. But whatever the answer was, she found herself believing it and hoped the others would too.
